Zena Jean (Greb) Mathews

Zena Jean Mathews, 81, of Lewisburg, entered into rest on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village.

She was born on June 23, 1937 in Willow Grove, a daughter of the late Willard T. and Zena (Bridgewater) Greb.  On May 18, 1957, in Newton she married Robert Cooper Mathews, who survives. Her death breaks a martial union of 61 years.

Jean was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Lewisburg.

Jean enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jean and Randy Goodling of Liverpool, one son and daughter-in-law, R. Steven and Sandy Mathews of Mt. Pleasant Mills, four grandchildren, Butch, Sandy, Christy, and Andy, 12 great grandchildren, and one brother and sister-in-law, Donald  and Sandie Greb of Mt. Pleasant Mills.

Services will be private at the discretion of the family.
