William Franklin Renninger

July 1, 1938 — December 7, 2014

William Franklin “Bill” Renninger, 76, of Millmont passed away at 4:30 PM on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital.

He was born on July 1, 1938 in Union Township, Union County, a son of the late Theodore and Florence (Fry) Renninger.  On December 24, 1994, he married the former Shirley E. Walt, who survives

Bill graduated from Mifflinburg High School class of 1956.

During high school he worked for Rosedale Dairy driving milk truck, and Art Knapp's Service Station, Mifflinburg.  Once he graduated he started to drive for Midwest Emery, Chicago, for several years.  He then started his own business W.F. Renninger Trucking, Sales, Service, and Rentals in Mifflinburg until 1991, at which time he moved to Millmont.  Most recently he hauled mulch and firewood for Kuhn’s Brothers, and pumpkins and Christmas trees for Buffalo Valley Produce Auction.

William was a member of the Mifflinburg Moose Lodge # 1396, Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge 370, Mifflinburg, lifetime member of the Union County West End Fire Company, and Central Pennsylvania Vintage Iron Club.

William enjoyed collecting old John Deere and Allis Chalmers tractors, camping, and fishing.

Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Robert L. and Shirley Renninger of Winfield, nieces, Susan Renninger of Mifflinburg, Emma Renninger, and his favorite niece, Whitney “The Kid” Troutman.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday with a Masonic service at 7:45 by Lodge 370 and from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.

Interment will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
