William D. Dressler

March 31, 1952 — May 27, 2015

William D. “Bubba” Dressler, 63, of 901 Green Street, Mifflinburg entered into rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at RiverWoods.

He was born on March 31, 1952 in Lewisburg, a son of the late Lemuel L. Dressler and Pauline E. (Sholley) Dressler.  On November 19, 1972, he married the former Debra L. Hoffman, who survives.

Bill was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School class of 1970.

In past years Bill always worked at service oriented jobs, the last being with Susquehanna Valley Mobility Service.  During that time he and his wife owned and operated Dressler’s Appliance and Electric in Mifflinburg for 15 years.

Bill was a member of Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg and a former member of United Church of Christ, New Berlin, where he participated in the choir and the consistory.   He was a former member of Mt. Bethany Gun Club.

He enjoyed hunting, photography (especially of birds), and tending to his roses.  He was a loyal Mifflinburg Wildcat Athletics’ fan, especially football.  Bill biggest joy in life was being a proud grandfather who enjoyed following his grandsons sporting events.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeremy L. Dressler and companion SuzAnne Hennigan of Mifflinburg, Jason and Danielle Dressler of Mifflinburg, three grandsons, Cade Dressler, Troy Dressler, Hunter Dressler, all of Mifflinburg,  two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janet L. Graham of Mifflinburg, Martha D. and Samuel Gill of Mifflinburg, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard L. and Marian Dressler of Bangor, Maine, and Robert E. and Robin Dressler of Florida.  Also, surviving are many extended family members and close friends to numerous to mention that held a warm place in his heart.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Monday and from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday at the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Rd, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Ruth K. Farrell and Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.

Interment will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
