Viola R. Venturini, 95, of Mifflinburg for the past five years formerly of Boonton, NJ, entered into rest at 9:05 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at her nieces' residence following a brief illness.
She was born on October 2, 1917 in Boonton, a daughter of the late Jess and Carrie (Struble) Provost. On February 14, 1942, in Boonton, NJ she married Angelo E. Venturini, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1984.
Mrs. Venturini graduated from Boonton High School class of 1935.
Viola was a homemaker.
Viola was a member of St. George Church, Mifflinburg for the past five years, prior to that she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
While residing in Mifflinburg she enjoyed attending various Club 39 activities.
Surviving are one daughter, Michele C. Macnamara and husband Gary of La Palma, CA, three grandchildren, Bryan, Sean, and Kevin Macnamara, niece, Neva C. Jacobus of Mifflinburg with whom she resided, as well as several additional nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Provost, three sisters, Helen Mae Norvis, Jessie Provost, and Doris Boccafogli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 390 County Road 523, Whitehouse Station, NJ, with the Rev. Leonard F.A. Rusay, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Wednesday morning. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Boonton, NJ.
