Shirley Eileen Renninger

Shirley Eileen Renninger, 78, of Millmont entered into rest on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her residence. 

Born on August 20, 1945 in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Elmer and Sarah (Behrent) Walt. On December 24, 1994 in Millmont she married William F. Renninger, who passed away in 2014.

 Shirley was a graduate of Sunbury Senior High School class of 1963. After working part time as a nursing assistant at various places, she enrolled in Danville Nursing School graduating in 1972.

 In 1974 she went to work at the United Methodist Nursing Home (Riverwoods) where after 30 years of service she retired in 2004. 

She was a member of the West End Fire Co. Social Hall. 

Shirley enjoyed reading and spending time with her favorite niece, Whitney. 

Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, William T. and Sue Loss of Northumberland, one brother, Larry Walt of Sunbury, one brother-in-law, William D. Troutman of Sunbury, 3 nieces, Whitney M. and husband Zachary A. Ray of Sunbury, Amy Schreffler of Leck Hill, and Jamie Weir of Harrisburg, great niece, Ashley Schreffler and her favorite great nephew, Lucas Ray. 

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin L. Loss, one brother, Norman Walt, two sisters, Mary Jane Bailey, Bonnie L. Walt, one nephew, Harrold Bailey and a niece, Tina Harner. 

Family and friends are invited to the graveside services at 1 pm on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Lincoln Chapel Cemetery, Millmont.
