Sheryl Jane Hoffman, 69, of 6332 Old Turnpike Road, Vicksburg entered into rest at 5:07 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at her residence surround by family.
She was born on January 29, 1946 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Walter Lynn and Anna Georgie (Soult) Spicer. On April 03, 1971, she married Joseph Edgar Hoffman, who survives.
Sheryl was a graduate of Bellefonte High School.
She was a member of Community Christian Church of Vicksburg, where she served as treasurer and was active in evangelism. She would faithfully staff the church booth at the West End Fair.
Sheryl was a talented fashion designer and doll maker. She and her husband operated a design studio from their home in Vicksburg, and in earlier years she operated a dress design shop in Harrisburg.
Sheryl was a member of the Penn Fairy Doll Club.
She was a lifetime “tenter” at the Centre County Grange Fair, Centre Hall.
Sheryl was extremely creative and enjoyed many hobbies including; painting, crocheting, knitting, sewing, cross-stitch and was a great story teller.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, James Eugene and Jill Novesal of Maryland, Joseph Eric and Heather Hoffman of Detriot, MI, one daughter, Chrissy Lynne and Bryan Oberheim of Mifflinburg, seven grandchildren, Kayla Novesal, Lindsay Novesal, Ethan Hoffman, Elaine Oberheim, Christian Oberheim, Joshua Oberheim, Anna Oberheim.
She was preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Novesal, and one grandson, Matthew Brian Novesal.
In keeping with Sheryl’s wishes there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to the funeral at 11AM on Friday at Community Christian Church of Vicksburg, 6460 Old Turnpike Rd, Mifflinburg, Pa , with Pastor Jeff Yount, officiating. There will be a time of fellowship following the service in the church social hall.
Interment will be in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
