Robert Dean Sites, Jr., 65, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 9:45 AM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on May 23, 1951 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Patsy Louise (Tressler) Umbel, Mifflinburg and the late Robert Dean Sites, Sr.
Robert was a graduate of Waynesboro High School.
For the past 15 years, Bob has been a maintenance employee for Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg, where he was well liked by many coworkers. Previously, he was the co-owner of RDS Home Improvements, and loved to help different people and business in the Mifflinburg area.
Bob was an avid flower gardener, and enjoyed collecting movies.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, William H. Umbel of Wyomissing, he is survived by his six siblings: a sister, Sandra J. Sites, Ayers, MA; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. W. Thomas Umbel and Cheryl of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother and sister-in-law. Michael L. Umbel and Darla of Hartleton, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, J. Bret Umbel and Kathy of Mifflinburg, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia D. Tharp and David of Burleson, TX ; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonita M. Boyle and Joseph of Atlantic Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life service on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, 12 Market Street, Mifflinburg at 11:00 am, with Dr. W. Thomas Umbel, officiating.
Interment will be in Hill Top Cemetery, Mifflinburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s memory can be sent to a charity of your choice.
