Ned Eugene Wagner, 86, of Mifflinburg and most recently residing at RiverWoods, Lewisburg passed away at 9:05 PM on Friday, September 6, 2013 at RiverWoods.
He was born on January 10, 1927 in Lewisburg, a son of the late John K. and Alma M. (Zimmerman) Wagner.
Ned graduated from Mifflinburg High School Class of 1945.
On June 20, 1945 Ned enlisted in the US Army, serving during WWII with the 42nd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. He was honorably discharged on November 27, 1946 in Fort Dix, NJ.
Ned worked as a pipefitter with the Pipefitters Union Local 520.
Ned was a member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, Mifflinburg Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge #370, Mifflinburg American Legion, Thomas H. Clapham Post #410, and a former member of the Mifflinburg Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #1396
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela of Muncy, two grandchildren, Dalton and Alea, one brother, Jack Wagner of Mifflinburg, two sisters, Lucille Wagner of Mifflinburg and Nancy Wagner of Lewisburg, and one sister-in-law, Beverly Wagner of Lewisburg. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers John, Nelson, and Wilbur Wagner.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 on Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12 East Market St, Mifflinburg where the funeral will be held at 2 with The Rev. William F. Petry, interim pastor of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
