Morita J. Yost, 89, of 223 Lamplight Lane, Lewisburg entered into rest at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, where she had been a guest since July 18th.
She was born on June 25, 1923 in Mifflinburg, the daughter of the late Cloyd and Maud (Blouch) Yost.
Morita was a graduate of Lewisburg High School class of 1942
In the 1950's Morita moved to Chicago, where she began working as a reservationist with American Airlines, retiring in 1998 and moving to back to Lewisburg.
She attended both Crossroads and the Mifflinburg Churches of the Nazarene.
Mortia travel overseas extensively, played the piano, and loved to square dance. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are two sisters-in-laws; Marjorie Yost and Nancy Yost both of Lewisburg, eight neices and nephews; Morita Neitz of Lewisburg, Edward Hauck of Lancaster, Gary and Brian Yost of Lewisburg, Dennis Yost of Harrisburg, Judy DeVolld of Mt. Vernon, OH, Mark Yost of Fayetteville, Pa, Carla Meyers of Muncy. Also, surviving are several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Hauck, two brothers, Donald and Carl Yost.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 4 to 4:30 PM on Saturday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 4:30, with the Rev. Wayne Krell and the Rev. Randy Smyre, officiating.
Interment will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
