Maryellen J. Jordon, 94, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:20 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on November 30, 1923 in Laurelton, the daughter of the late Lester E. Johnson and Ellen (Camp) Johnson. She was married for 56 years to the late Donald E. Weaver. She remarried in 1998 to Samuel E. Jordon who passed away on Feb. 13, 2006.
Maryellen graduated from the former Laurelton High School.
Maryellen was employed for 35 years in the shipping department at Par-Knit Mills in Mifflinburg and 3 years for U.S.T.A. She also was a wonderful cook and ran the kitchen at the Mifflinburg Moose for many years.
She was a member of the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church and attended New Hope Bible Church.
She enjoyed sewing, bus trips, going for rides in the mountains, and going to Union County Sportsman for Chicken Bar-B-Q.
Surviving are one son, Herbert W. and Ruth Ann Weaver of Millmont, one daughter, Linda and Sidney Jamieson of Lewisburg, five grandchildren, Mark and wife Tammy Everitt, Steven and wife Debbie Everitt, Kevin and wife Courtney Jamieson, Pam Weaver, and Jeff Weaver, multiple great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Mary Johnson of Mifflinburg, and her special companion of 12 years, William Barnett of Milton.
She was preceded in death by one brother Edward Johnson.
Interment will be conducted privately in Hartleton Cemetery.
