Mary N. (Zimmerman) Martin, 93, of Millmont, entered into rest at 1:45 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025, surrounded by family at her daughter's home in Mifflinburg.
Born on March 16, 1931, in West Earl Twp, the son/daughter of the late Noah Hess and Esther (Nolt) Zimmerman. On November 7, 1951, in Lancaster County, she married Daniel Hursh Martin, who passed away on July 7, 1992.
Mary was a member of Mt. View Old Order Mennonite Church.
Surviving are 13 children and their spouses: Ammon and Eva Martin of Mifflinburg, Adam and Ruth W. Zimmerman of Hopkinsville, KY, Esther Z. and Irvin W. Martin of Mifflinburg, Walter Z. and Charlotte W. Martin of International Falls, MN, Daniel Z. and Esther W. Martin of Mifflinburg, Norman Z. and Lucille M. Martin of Kutztown, PA, Lloyd Z. Martin of Shippensburg, Mary Ella and Elvin Z. Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Erma Z. and Ammon B. Martin of Mifflinburg, Glenn Z. and Carolyn Z. Martin of Penn Yan, NY. Arlene Z. and Daniel B. Martin of Mifflinburg, Linda Z. and Aaron H. Reiff of Penn yan, NY, Miriam Z. and John B. Martin of Mifflinburg, a daughter-in-law Mary Ella (Zimmerman) Martin of Millmont, 89 grandchildren, 273 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, one brother, David N. Zimmerman of Leola, PA, one sister, Lizzie N. Martin of Leola, PA, and a sister-in-law, Pauline Zimmerman of Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Z. Martin; three daughters, Ruth Z. Zimmerman, Alta Z. Martin, and Elva Z. Martin; eight grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Marian Z. Martin; two brothers, John N. Zimmerman and Noah N. Zimmerman; and one sister, Emma N. Weber.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, Feb. 2 7, 2025, at the home of Ervin Oberholtzer, 117 Cold Run Road, Millmont, where the family service will be held at 9 am on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Further services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday at the Mt. View Old Order Mennonite Church, 274 Kaiser Run Road, Millmont, with the home ministry officiating.
The interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
