Marie M. Snook

Marie M. Snook, 88, of Mifflinburg, joined her four sisters in heaven on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Rolling Hills Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Snyder County on March 6, 1936, to Artie and Carrie Kratzer.

Marie graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1953 after attending Fair Oaks School in the early years.

She met her husband, Floyd (Ernie) Snook, at a Selinsgrove/Mifflinburg basketball game at the request of her future sister-in-law, Connie. Connie told her he would be wearing a red shirt, and the rest was history. She married Ernie on June 5, 1955, and they have enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage.

Marie was a great organizer and bookkeeper for Mifflinburg Farm Supply and Snooks Equipment. She spent many hours looking for that "one cent" that the ledger was off.

She was a lifelong member of Zion's Church of Kratzerville.

In addition to her loving husband, Ernie, she is survived by her children, Debbie (Steve) Trimble, Dean Snook, and Patricia Miller; grandchildren Seth Jarrett, Abbi (Shawn) Gower, Tyler (Tricia) Jarrett, and Elissa Snook; and stepgrandchildren Jay Trimble and Matt (Nikki) Trimble. She was also a great-grandmother to Owen Gower, Kendel Jarrett, Miles Gower, and Everly Jarrett, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law to Connie and Herb Teichman of Millmont. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Arla Berger, Bertha Hackenberg, Ethel Wenrich, and 1 year to the day, Dorothy Staley, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Thelma and Ira Keister.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Zions Church of Kratzerville, 4106 Route 204, Selinsgrove. The funeral will be held at 11 AM, with Pastor Dan Conklin officiating.

The interment will be in the Zion Reformed Church Cemetery, Kratzerville.
