Luther M. Reamer

Luther “Luke” M. Reamer, 83, of Millersburg entered into rest at 10:28 AM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at The Manor at Penn Village.

He was born on May 23, 1936 in Lewis Township, Union County, the son of the late John and Katie (Wolfe) Reamer.  Luther never married, and was known as the “Master of Bachelor-hood”.

Luther retired from Waste Management as a Garbage Collector.  He was the Head Cook at Millersburg Moose for 50+ years.  He would collect garbage in the morning, and head to the Moose to cook lunch and dinner. Luther enjoyed cooking for different hunting cabins both in PA and WV.

He was an excellent bowler, winning many trophies with the Millersburg Moose Bowling Team.

Surviving are two brothers, Lee Reamer of Aaronsburg; Arthur Reamer of Mifflinburg and several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Elwood Reamer, Anna Schreck, Charlotte Styers, John “Nelson” Reamer, Dorothy Richard, and Francis “Fritz” Reamer.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 7 PM on Thursday at Adamo’s, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg where the funeral will be held at 7 PM, with his nephew Pastor Eric Reamer, officiating.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
