Lizzie S. Sensenig

June 16, 1927 — May 25, 2015

Lizzie S. (Brubaker) Sensenig, 87, of 273 Strickler Road, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 4:40 AM on Monday, May 25, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on June 16, 1927 in East Earl Township, Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Daniel E. and Maggie M. (Shirk) Brubaker.  On November 16, 1948, in East Earl Twp. Lancaster County, she married Moses Z. Sensenig, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sensenig was a homemaker.

She was a member of Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Leon and Eunice Sensenig of Ephrata, Verna and John Shirk of Beavertown, Arlene and Clarence Shirk of Beavertown, Minerva and Alvin Reiff of Mifflinburg, Leroy and Linda Sensenig of Platteville, WI, Harvey and Lizzie Sensenig of Lewisburg, Marvin and Lydia Sensenig of Penn Yan, NY, Alvin and Lizzie Sensenig of Mifflinburg, Anna Mary and John Reiff of Latham, MO, Ella Mae and Harvey Reiff of Mifflinburg, Norma and Vernon Martin of Lewisburg, Miriam and Paul Oberholtzer of Bloomington, WI, 80 grandchildren, 153 great-grandchildren, 2 daughters-in-law, Nancy and husband Lowell Martin of Newville,  Arlene Sensenig of Quarryville,3 sisters, Martha wife of the late Levi Martin, Anna wife of the late Wayne Newswanger, Mabel wife of the late William Hursh, two sisters-in-law, Alta Brubaker, Beatrice Brubaker.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Sensenig, and Lloyd Sensenig, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Ada Martin, Katie Brubaker, Minnie Brubaker, 5 brothers, Menno, Amos, John, Eli, and Wayne Brubaker.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the Sensenig family home, 273 Strickler Road, Mifflinburg, The funeral will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the Sensenig family’s farm, 210 Strickler Road, Mifflinburg with additional services at 9:30 a.m. at Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Church, Beaver Run Road, Mifflinburg with the whole local ministry, officiating.

Interment will be in the Vicksburg Old Order Mennonite Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
