Leslie "Les" Wayne Johnson

Leslie ‘Les’ Wayne Johnson, 76, of 1030 West Market Street, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 5:07 PM on Saturday, March 09, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Born on February 13, 1943 in, St. Marys, PA, he was the son of the late, Herman L.  and Margaret M. (Cessna) Johnson.  On February 10, 1968, he married the former Rebecca Ann Kinnan, who passed away on January 12, 2017.  Together, they shared 49 years of memories.

Les was a 1961 graduate of Cameron County High School.

Les worked as an Assistant Forest Manager for Bald Eagle State Forest for 31 years.

He was a lifetime member of the PA Forestry Association, PA Forest Fire Museum, Keystone Elk County Assocation, a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman Association, Society of American Foresters, the NRA, and Elmbrook Hunting Club.

Les loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting, and outdoor photography.

Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Kristen A. and Harold R. Lamey of Mifflinburg, one son, Karl L. Johnson of Selinsgrove; two grandchildren, Joshua & Julia Lamey of Mifflinburg; and two nephews, Michael & Roger Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine M. Baka.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11am on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church, 811 Kreamer Ave, Kreamer, PA. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Thomas Krampert, officiating.

Interment will be private in the Hartleton Cemetery.
