Stanley "Lee" W. Sawicki, 76, of Selinsgrove, PA, formerly of Zanesville, Ohio, entered into rest on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence.
Born on October 7, 1944 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, a son the late Wanda (Gorosz) Sawicki. On June 27, 1970, he married the former Gloria A. Streeshock, who survives.
Lee was a 1962 graduate of Stratford High School, Stratford, CT. After graduation, he entered the United State Air Force from 1962 to 1966, serving in North Africa and at Kincheloe AFB.
Lee worked at Sturm, Ruger & Co. in Southport, CT. After relocating to Ohio, Lee served as a Dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, retiring after 26 years of service.
Lee enjoyed golfing, watching hockey, and caring for all things feathered and furry. He was quick witted, big hearted and always left people smiling. His greatest joy was just hangin' out with his angel, Glor.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his sister Bonnie Tolbert, brother Gerald Sawicki, sister-in-law Rose Naugle, nieces Lynn Naugle and Luann Smith, nephew, David Naugle and, his latest rescue - Zoey.
He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Gordon Tolbert and Lloyd Naugle.
A viewing will be held at 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, PA. A graveside service for family and friends will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery Annex, Walnut Street, Berwick, PA, officiated by Deacon Gregory Amarante.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lee`s memory may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or your local animal shelter.
