Larry W Chandler went home to be serenaded by angels on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Larry was born November 19, 1947 to Hayden (waiting for him at the Pearly Gates) and Doris Chandler of Livermore Falls, Maine. He married the love of his life, Dottie (James) Chandler on January 6, 1968 and they loved each other tremendously and selflessly for 47 years. After serving in the United States Air Force for 7 ½ years, Larry was honorably discharged and answered God’s call to Pastoral Ministry in the Church of the Nazarene. He and Dottie spent 30 years in ministry to various churches in Maine, New York, and Maryland touching many lives.
Undoubtedly, Larry’s second love in life, were his daughters and their families. Larry epitomized the loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend role in life. He was gracious beyond measure, had a foundation of faith that grew deeper with his years, yet was down to earth and known by many for his simple yet contagious sense of humor and personality. His smile was infectious and his wisdom something to strive toward.
Larry loved the Lord with his whole being, he loved his family with his whole heart, and loved others with the love of Christ. This is how he would want to be remembered.
