John William "Johnny" Stetter, 75, of 301 Ikeler Ave, Lewisburg entered into rest at 4:05 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on July 12, 1937 in Staten Island, NY, the son of the late William Sr and Emma (Grund) Stetter.
Johnny worked as a custodian until his retirement from the Willowbrook State School, Staten Island, NY. Upon retiring he moved to Lewisburg to be closer to family. He loved shopping and spending time at Weis and Wal-Mart.
He enjoyed coin collecting, visiting Lake George, NY, sports history, and was an avid San Francisco Giant and New York Giants fan.
Surviving are three sisters; Beverly Bartsch of Hillsborough, NJ, Marilyn Hafer of New Berlin, Barbara Tart of Manchester, NJ, one brother; Rudy Stetter, Sr of Toms River, NJ, two nieces and spouses; Diane S. and Douglas E. Shaffer of Lewisburg, Faye and Steve Heyman of New Columbia, two great nephews; Douglas J. Shaffer, Jeremy E. and Phylis M. Shaffer of Mifflinburg, one great niece; Renee Shaffer of Lewisburg, one brother-in-law, Wilfred "Bud" Lamoureaux of Lewisburg, and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Seror, Bertha A (Sissy) Lamoureaux, five brothers, George Thomas Stetter, William John Stetter, Harry Stetter, twin brothers in infancy..
Family and friends are invited to visit from 3 to 4 on Saturday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be held at 4, with the Rev. Ronald Warfle, officiating.
