Joseph Clair Lamey, 68, of Millmont passed away at 12:04 AM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in Williamsport.
He was born on November 22, 1947 in Albion, NY, the son of the late Harry E. Lamey and Ruth E. Moyer.
Joseph was a 12 year graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School. After graduating from high school, Joseph attended Harrisburg Area Community College.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from July 22, 1968 to his honorable discharge on July 13, 1970.
Joseph worked as a Highway Designer for PennDOT retiring after 25 years.
He was a member of the Union County Sportsman Club.
Joseph loved to paint and was a very talented local artist with some of his work displayed at the Union County Sportsman Club.
Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Misty L. Lamey of Hummelstown, Tara M. and Martin D. Piorkowski of Surprise, AZ, Chrystal L. Lamey of Mifflinburg, one son and daughter-in-law, Jason S. and Christine L. Lamey of Mifflinburg, 8 grandchildren, Phelan, Spencer, Kiara, Ayden, Gabby, Tayah, Kassy, Riley, three sisters, Darlene Willett, Carol Sodoma, Melodie Stewart, two brothers, Thomas Kerstetter, Rick Kerstetter. Also, survived by his former wife of 43 years, Pamela J. Lamey of Selinsgrove, and his companion of 13 years, Sandra Capwell of Williamsport.
He was preceded in death by brother, Dale Kerstetter, one sister, Mary Weader.
Family and friends are invited to the reflection service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Friday at the West End Bible Fellowship, 19200 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont, where the memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2016, with the Rev. Richard L. DeVett, officiating.
Interment with full military honors will be in the Long Lane Cemetery.
