JoAnn Elaine Stuckey, 80, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 2:15 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on September 2, 1933 in Burnham, a daughter of the late Dale Edward and Helen (Dunmire) Hertzler. On November 25, 1951, she married the Jack L. Stuckey, who survives. Together they shared 61 years of memories.
JoAnn graduated from Burnham High School Class of 1951.
Mrs. Stuckey along with her husband owned and operated the former IGA Store in Mifflinburg.
She was a member of the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, where she was very active in various church activities.
JoAnn enjoyed reading, working on Jig-saw puzzles, cross stitch, bird watching, and gardening. She loved to travel, especially to the beach with family and collect sea shells. One of her joys was to spend time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl A. and Stuart Naulty of Murray, KY, Marjorie L. Boyer of Milton, Linda K. and Ronald Baum of Mifflinburg, four grandchildren, Christopher, Alicia, Katie, Eric, two great grandchildren, one brother and one sister-in-law, Nelson and Barb Hertzler of Burnham, one sister-in-law, Joyce Herzler. Also, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Naulty, one brother, Edward Hertzler, and one son-in-law, Douglas Boyer.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 2 to 3 PM on Sunday at the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, 279 Market Street, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service to celebrate JoAnn's life will be held at 3, with Rev. Elizabeth Taylor and Rev. Edmund Minnich, officiating.
Interment will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery, Mifflinburg.
