Joan Jennie Bilger, 73, of 619 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg entered into rest on 2:47 AM on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on November 26, 1941 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Melvin S. Adams and Marie I. (Stahl) Adams. On April 21, 1967, she married Donald L. Bilger, who survives.
She graduated from Lewisburg High School class of 1959.
Joan was a homemaker and in earlier years work as a secretary.
Joan enjoyed gardening, play the piano, painting, and reading. She loved her cat, Mickey, and spending time with family.
Surviving are one daughter, Hydie J. Bilger of Mifflinburg, one sister and brother-in-law, Ida Mae and Lee Shuck of West Milton, three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Foster and Bonnie Bilger of Mifflinburg, Victoria and Edward Kirk of Shermans Dale, Pa, Wendy and Tom Hosterman of Millmont. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Wilson and Irene L. (Walter) Bilger, and brother-in-law, Bill Belles.
Family and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 10 to 11 am at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be held at 11 with, the Rev. MacKenzie Scott, officiating.
Interment will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
