Geraldine A. Fisher

July 6, 1929 — December 13, 2016

Geraldine A. Fisher, 87, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 1:24 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center.

She was born on July 06, 1929 in New Columbia, the daughter of the late George E. and Alta Mae (Weaver) Fisher.

Geraldine was a graduate of Milton High School.

She was baptized Mormon and also attended Jehovah’s Witness Meetings.

Geraldine retired from the City of Baltimore, Maryland as an Executive Secretary for Patapsco Public Works.  Earlier in life she worked for; Long Beach Naval Shipyard, CA, H. Warscow and Sons, Inc of Milton, and the Union County Extension office.

Geraldine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Milton.

Geraldine enjoyed gardening, reading, and singing hymns.  She loved to spend time with family and friends.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda L. and William R. Kahley of Mifflinburg, three grandchildren, Aaron R. Kahley of Mifflinburg, Christopher and wife Leticia Moore of La Habra, CA, Erica Carlson of Pomona, CA, one great grandson, one son-in-law, Michael Carlson of Pomona, CA, one sister and brother-in-law, Leora and George Ervine of Anchorage, AK, two brother-in-laws, Richard Taylor of Delaware, Richard Swartzlander of Northumberland, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland M. Cregger, one daughter, Cynthia M. Carlson, and three sisters, Mary Fisher, Iona Swartzlander, and Lila Taylor.

Private graveside services for the immediate family will be in the Highland Cemetery.
