Francis V. “Frank” Rennells, 89, of Lewisburg entered into rest on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Riverwoods.
He was born on June 12, 1930 in Coudersport, a son of the late Frank D. and Florence Isabelle (Smith) Rennells. On March 3, 2000, at Christ Wesleyan Church he married the former Karen Joy (Church) Evans, who survives.
He graduated from Coudersport High School Class of 1948. Prior to being drafted he attended one year of junior college.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1953, followed by serving in the reserves for six years. Following the war he graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1958 with a bachelor's degree in business.
Frank was attending Christ Wesleyan Church, where he was an active member of the senior adult ministry. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lewisburg, and the Delta Nu Alpha Fraternity
Frank retired as a sales supervisor for Lewisburg Builders Supply after 22 years. Earlier in life he worked as a terminal manager for several trucking companies, and as an a industrial traffic manager for Teknor Apex of Rhode Island.
He was an avid reader. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, road trips to Potter County and spending time with family.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife are one daughter, Kathryn Rennells Baker of Montgomery, one grandson, Jesse Baker II, two stepchildren, Susan Nogler and husband Scott of Mifflinburg, Brian Evans and wife Joanna of Carlisle, three step grandchildren, Michael Evans, Lynden and Emily Nogler, Forrest and Cheyne Evans.
He was preceded in death by first wife Barbara Cornell Rennells, two brothers, Roger and David Rennells, and one son, Robert Edward Rennells.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton, where the funeral will be held at 2, with Family Life, Pastor Mike Sweigard, officiating.
Interment will be private in North Bingham Cemetery, Potter County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank`s memory may be sent to Christ Wesleyan Church Mission Fund, directed to missionaries Ryan and Melissa Seibert, 363 Stamm Road, Milton, PA 17847.
