Florence E. Ellers

April 6, 1920 — October 30, 2014

Florence (Flo) Elizabeth Ellers, 94, of Mechanicsburg and formerly Camp Hill, went peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior in Heaven on October 30, 2014.  Florence was a resident at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA.
Florence was born April 6, 1920 in New York City to the late Joseph and Mercedes Grespin. She was predeceased by Adrian, her husband of 56 years, son Robert, and brother Joseph Grespin and his wife Helen.
Florence worked in the New York fashion industry in her early years. Her sense of style and grace carried over into every endeavor. Florence loved her husband, sons, grandson and extended family unconditionally; she enjoyed entertaining her friends and family; and creatively studied and collected antiques. Florence was the past President and Treasurer of the Yellow Breeches Questers.
Florence is survived by Edward & Elizabeth Wallace Ellers, Haverford, PA; her grandson Spencer C. W. Ellers, New York City; Richard & Holly Ellers, Centre Hall, PA; her nephew Randy & Barbara Grespin, Hummelstown, and their family Whitney, Matthew and Tyler; niece Cathy and Kevin Zeiher, Sandusky, Ohio, lifetime friend Helen Hass, Laurel, MD, Nancy Richards, Camp Hill, Dr. Virginia Wetmore, Mechanicsburg, Ken Walters & Mary Updegraff, Carlisle, and Dr. Nicholas Scharff, Wynnewood.
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the exceptional “C Wing” team at Claremont: Dr. Michael Gawlus, Kathy Bixler and all the nursing, activities and housekeeping staff for their years of loving care of Florence.
Florence was a member of Mount Calvary Episcopal Church, N. 25th Street, Camp Hill. Her Memorial Service will be held there on Sunday, November 2, at 1 pm under the direction of the Rev. Duncan Johnston.  Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery at a later date.
