Emma Jean Renninger, 39, of Winfield entered into rest at 12:58 AM on Friday, January 05, 2018 due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was born on March 15, 1978 in Lewisburg, the daughter of Robert Lee Renninger and Shirley Jean (Eberhart) Renninger.
Emma graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School Class of 1996. She than attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York.
Emma was the Chef/Owner of Emma's Food for Life, Selinsgrove. Previously she worked at the Inn at New Berlin, and Walnut Acres. She was also engaged in farming on the family farm in Winfield, and was a founding member of the Selinsgrove Farmers Market.
She was a member of the Sustainable Ag Society and the Susquehanna Ridge Runners Club.
Emma enjoyed cats, gardening, raising small farm animals, running, and traveling.
Surviving in addition to her parents is one sister, Susan Renninger and companion Nathan Shallenberger of Mifflinburg, a nephew, Teddy Shallenberger and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Theodore and Florence Renninger, her maternal grandparents, Harold and Bertha Eberhart, and an uncle, William Renninger.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 1 to 3 PM on Tuesday at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market Street, New Berlin, where the funeral will be held at 3, with Pastor James Cope and Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.
Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Emma's memory may be sent to Emmanuel UCC, 326 Market Street, New Berlin, PA 17855.
