Elwood Orvis Trutt, 81, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 8:41 AM on Sunday, October 09, 2016 at the home of his son Richard’s residence in Lewisburg.
He was born on March 12, 1935 in Lewistown, the son of the late Harry G. Trutt and Elizabeth A. (Hook) Trutt. On March 07, 1954, in Granville, PA, he married the former Dora Ellen Pentycofe, who passed away on October 02, 2009.
Elwood retired in 1984 from DCNR-Bureau of Forestry. Earlier in life he worked for Pennsylvania House Furniture, Philco Ford, Chef Boyardee, and Yorktowne Kitchens.
He was a member of the Freeburg, Fire Company.
Elwood was an avid Antique Car and tractor collector and restorer.
He also enjoyed attending public sales, music jam sessions and dances. As well as playing the banjo and guitar.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Brenda Trutt of Lewisburg, Robert Trutt of Mifflinburg, three daughters and one-son-law, Deborah Conrad of Mifflinburg, Dorothy Fetterolf of Lewisburg, Betty and Walter Fountaine of Laporte, Pa, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Pharis Trutt of Lewistown, and one brother and sister-in-law, Byron and June Pentycofe.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Trutt, one grandson, Paul Trutt, one brother, Richard Trutt, one step-brother, John Kuhns, two sons-in-law, Ray E. Conrad, Sr, Walter Sholly, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday and from 10 to 11 am on Thursday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with Joseph Wise, officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
