Elnore I. Keefer, 61, of 109 Baker Hollow Road, Mifflinburg went to be with the Lord at 1:00 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, following a courageous six year battle with cancer.
She was born on January 8, 1954 in Grove City, a daughter of the late William and Frances (Kite) Pears. On November 24, 1984 at the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene she married Van C. Keefer, who survives.
Elnore worked as a teacher’s aide at the Mifflinburg School District for 15 years.
She was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel of Union County, where she enjoyed spending time and fellowshipping with the ladies in her women’s group.
Elnore enjoyed camping, spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Allen Klingler of Winfield, Lisa and Joel Miller of Mifflinburg, two grandchildren, Andrew and Kaylee Klingler, and one grandchild on the way, two sisters, Pheobe Wheeler of Madison, IN, Sherry Rose of Mercer, two brothers, John Pears, Jackson Center, PA, Robert Pears of Punta Gorda, FL.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Thursday at the Harvest Bible Chapel, 115 Freedom Road Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 5:30 PM, with Pastor Steve Stoltzfus, officiating.
