Edward W. Zellers

Edward W. Zellers, 90, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village.

Born on May 5, 1934, in Mifflinburg, the son of the late William and Susie (Steese) Zellers.

Edward was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He served in the United States Army stationed in Berlin, Germany, where he guarded Nazi Commanders with Company "I" 6th Infantry, Regiment 4th Platoon from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1958.

Ed worked for Ford in the United Auto Workers Union at their New Jersey plant until his retirement in 1986.

He was a charter member of the Buffalo Valley Motorcycle Club, a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club and played in the Saving Grace Band.

He enjoyed camping, fishing with family, bluegrass music, restoring old ice cream makers, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was also a talented handyman and the family’s photographer. He played Martin guitars and attended Daytona Bike Week with his brothers and nephews. He was a family man and extremely close to his nieces, nephews, and brothers.

Surviving is his brother and sister-in-law, John and Wanda Zellers, of Mifflinburg; nephew, John M. and Gretchen Zellers of Mifflinburg; niece, Jane M. Zellers of Mifflinburg; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Bob Wilson, two sisters, Myrtle Z. ( Bob) Ranck and Ruth J. (Bob) Camp, and two brothers, Glenn T. (Kathy) Zellers and Marlin H. Zellers in infancy.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Adamo Funeral Home, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Jason E. Mitchell officiating.

Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
