Dorothy L. Shipe, 82, of Millmont passed away at 10:37 a.m. on Monday, January 02, 2012 at Evangelical Community Hospital.
She was born on November 15, 1929 in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Leon Joseph (White) Bialek and Mary Elizabeth (Szybist) White. She was married to Herbert H. Shipe who precedes her in death.
Mrs. Shipe was a homemaker and assisted with her husband's chiropractor practice in Sunbury.
Dorothy was of the Roman Catholic Faith.
Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, watching classic movies, and attending church services.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin L. and Claudia Shipe of Wayne, one daughter, Gayle L. Shipe of Lewisburg, two granddaughters; Cristina Shipe and Carolyn Shipe, two sisters, Betty Zay of Williamsport, and Teresa Herendeen of Williamsport.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 12 to 1 PM on Saturday at the Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg. A catholic prayer service will be held at 1, with Deacon Richard Owen, officiating.
