Dorothy Ellen "Dottie" Rohland, 82, of Easton, MD formerly of Winfield entered into rest at 04:10 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Talbot Hospice House.
She was born on June 22, 1933 in Milton, the daughter of the late Albert and Susanna (Rahn) Ranck. On April 14, 1951, she married William R. Rohland, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2003.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir, and was an active member of Winfield Women's Auxiliary.
Dorothy always had a song in heart and a smile on her face. She enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles, and playing bingo and cards. Her greatest passion was spending time with her friends and family, particularly her grandchildren who were the lights of her life.
Surviving are son, Timothy Rohland of Jersey Shore, daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Mark Callahan of Denton, MD, and grandchildren, Grace, Eryn, Mary Claire, and Brittany Renee.
She was preceded in death by preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Criswell, Ethal Pursell, Jenny Shillings, and two brothers, Fred Ranck, and Bob Ranck.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to honor Dorothy’s life at 11 am on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 24 State Route 304, Winfield with the Rev. Larry E. Siikanen, and Rev. Don Slaybough officiating.
Interment will be at the Winfield Cemetery.
