Donald Franklin Wolfe, 80, of 644 Vine Street, New Berlin entered into rest on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center.
He was born on March 3, 1935 in Vicksburg, a son of the late Charles Oliver and Alma Rebecca (Stover) Wolfe. On July 09, 1955, in New Berlin he married the former Janet Darlene Koonsman, who survives. His death breaks a marital union of 60 years.
Don graduated from Mifflinburg High School class of 1952.
He attended Lighthouse Worship Center.
Don worked at the former Rosedale Creamery. He then worked as a plumber for Clayton Smith Mechanical Associates of Williamsport. Don also served as a patrolman for the New Berlin Police Department.
He was a former member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club.
Don enjoyed hunting and reloading ammunition.
Surviving are one daughter, Cathy-Ann and Keith Foust of Watsontown, four grandchildren, Jennifer Persun, Timothy Wolfe, Tieah Newland, Seth Foust, four great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jessica, Caelon, Rickey, one brother, Rodger Wolfe, Lewisburg, and one sister, Frances Daugherty of State College. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son Rickey D. Wolfe, two sisters, Dolly Shannon, Phyllis K. Kreisher, and one brother, William Wolfe.
There will be not public viewing. The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at Lighthouse Worship Center, 6151 New Berlin Hwy, with the Rev. Harley Yoder, officiating. Following the interment the family will fellowship with family and friends at the church social hall.
Interment will be in New Berlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Donald`s memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E 3rd St, Williamsport, PA 17701.
