Dolores M. "Lori" Snook

August 22, 1942 — May 14, 2016

Dolores Marie “Lori” Snook, 73, of 706 Market Street, New Berlin entered into rest at 1:10 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on August 22, 1942 in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Leroy and Evelyn (Urlich) Solomon.  On May 25, 1968, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin she married Ellsworth A. “Cub” Snook, who passed away on July 3, 2012.

She graduated from Mooseheart High School, Mooseheart, IL.

Lori was homemaker.  She worked as an aide at the New Berlin Elementary School and served as tax collector.  Earlier in life she worked at various sewing factories in the area.

She was member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin.

Lori was a member of the New Berlin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, served as past president of New Berlin Recreation Committee, assisted with Mifflinburg Area Little League, and coached girls softball.

She was an avid fan of Penn State football and enjoyed traveling to games.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Cub Allen and Hannah Marie Snook of New Berlin, two granddaughters, Fallon Marie Snook, Elli Ann Snook, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Barry and Holly Solomon of Watsontown, Tony and Susan Solomon of Winfield, one sister, Deborah Murphy of Glen Iron, and one sister-in-law, Bonita Solomon, New Berlin.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Blackburn, Linda Ramsey, and one brother, Kenneth Solomon.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Dr. James Cope and Rev. Roger Snyder, officiating.

Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lori’s memory may be sent to the New Berlin Fire Co., 415 High Street, New Berlin, PA 17855.
