David O. Brouse, 82, residing in New Columbia formerly of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 1:05 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Watsontown Health and Rehab Center.
He was born on November 10, 1931 in Danville, a son of the late Oscar and Mary (Shively) Brouse.
David graduated from Mifflinburg High School Class of 1950. David worked as a milk tester for the Dairy Improvement Association for 11 years and repaired radio and TV’s for many years. Earlier in life he worked as seasonal laborer on area farms.
David was of the protestant faith.
David enjoyed shortwave radio, going on walks, playing solitaire on the computer, reading, writing in his diary, woodworking, and fellowshipping with classmates.
Surviving are two sisters, Ella S. Willow of Mifflinburg, Doris Farrell of Minneapolis, MN, and one brother, Frank Brouse of Selinsgrove. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Brouse.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Saturday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 10:30, with the Rev. Michael C. Romig, officiating.
Interment will be in the East Side Cemetery, Mifflinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David`s memory may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
