Cora I. Weaver, 92, of 2974 Church Road, Mifflinburg, went to be with the Lord at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, May 01, 2018 at Evangelical Community Hospital.
She was born on February 18, 1926 in Richfield, a daughter of the late Oscar B. and Emma A. (Goodling) Kauffman. On October 12, 1946, she married John William Weaver, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2003.
She attended Buckwheat Valley schools.
Cora was a homemaker.
She was a charter member of the Buffalo Valley Mennonite Church.
Cora enjoyed quilting, cooking, spending time with family, and being of service to others.
Surviving are three daughters and spouses; Irene and Karl Schooley of Muncy, Charlotte and Walter Martin of International Falls, MN, Evelyn and Joe Anchor of New Columbia, three sons and spouses; John and Joyce Weaver of McVeytown, Orville Weaver of Mechanicsburg, Glen and Tina Weaver of New Columbia, 30 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary Kauffman of Beavertown, three sisters and three brothers-in-law; Mary and Albert Heimbach of Selinsgrove, Charlotte and Oran Heimbach of Middleburg, Evelyn and Clair Heimbach of Selinsgrove.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, two sisters, Orpha Kratzer and Nora Weaver, and one brother-in-law, Samuel Weaver.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, May 4, 2018 and from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Buffalo Mennonite Church, 4445 Hoffa Mill Rd., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 with Lead Pastor Lester Diller, officiating.
Interment will be in the Buffalo Mennonite Church Cemetery, Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cora’s memory may be sent to Buffalo Mennonite Church (Building Project), 4445 Hoffa Mill Rd, Lewisburg, PA17837.
