C. Michael "Mick" Chambers, 78, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 8:34 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his residence.
Born on October 01, 1941 in Lewisburg, the son of the late Charles W. Chambers and Elizabeth Jane (Sterling) Barnitz.
He was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School Class of 1960, and then attended The Pennsylvania State University.
He served his country honorably in the US Army Reserves.
Mick had worked as a resident's aide at the former Laurelton Center and then transferred to Selinsgrove Center, retiring in 2003.
He was a member of the Mifflinburg American Legion.
He was an avid lifelong tennis player and enjoyed watching, Penn State Football, tennis, and NASCAR.
More than anything he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family, and watching his nieces and nephews play sports.
Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Leslie Chambers of Charlotte N.C., two grandchildren, Laney and Abby Chambers, one sister and brother in-law, Sue and John Griffith of Mifflinburg, nieces and nephews, Shelly Blough and husband Dave of Mountville, PA, J. Scott Griffith, DMD and wife, Kelly of Mifflinburg, great nieces and nephews, Alex and Andrew Blough, Reagan Griffith, Riley Griffith, J. Cannon Griffith, Jackson Griffith, and a dear friend, Carol Tressler of Shamokin.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a life celebration service to honor Mick will be announced at a later time.
Interment will be private in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mick's memory may be sent to Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Dr, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
