Carol L. Metzger

Carol L. (Salem) Metzger, 75, of Lewisburg entered into rest on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born on August 22, 1948 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late William Salem and Edith Salem. On April 20, 1990 , she married (the former) Samuel Metzger, who passed away on June 19,2005. Together, they shared years of memories.

Carol was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh. Carol worked as a Teacher at Spring Cove School District dedicating her life to the love of teaching children in innovative, enthusiastic, and creative ways.

Carol reflected her unwavering faith in God through her actions as an inspirational mother, dedicated wife, committed teacher, and loyal friend. Carol enjoyed listening to music, singing, spending time with family and the beach, especially vacationing in the OBX with her entire family annually. She was the official family photo journalist recording every moment regardless of the good, the bad or the ugly.

Surviving are Erica (Lichvar)Underhill, daughter, Gary Underhill, son in law, Abby Underhill, granddaughter, Drew Lichvar, Son, Riley Lichvar, grandson, Diana(Palko) Meyers, daughter, Stephen Meyers, Son in law, and Granddaughter, Gabriella Meyers.

A memorial service will be held at Riverwood Retirement Center in Lewisburg, PA on September 7, 2024 at 1 pm with Pastor David Dearing officiating.

Interment will be private at a later time.
