Brenda L. Swartz

Brenda L. Swartz, 66, of Winfield, entered into rest on Friday, December 20, 2024, at her residence due to injuries suffered in a house fire.

Born on December 9, 1958, in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Weldon E. Swartz and Betty A. Swartz.

She was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School class of 1977.

She retired from the Selinsgrove Center where she worked as a health aide and then did private home health care.

Brenda was a member of Foursquare Church in Buffalo Crossroads, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She also did mission work in Africa through Terri Lee Ministries.

Brenda was a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. She enjoyed singing, spending time with her son, and pampering her grandchildren. Brenda was a woman of faith who spoke often about the Lord. Brenda was a devoted listener of WGRC, and loved to stump the Dave.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Ronda Swartz of Nanticoke, and two grandsons, Isaiah and Dylan Swartz. Six brothers and two sisters also survive her: James and Cheryl Swartz, Wayne and Patsy Swartz of Lewisburg, Dennis Swartz of West Milton, Kaye Harrison of Westminster, CO, Scott and Michele Swartz of Enola, Barry and Linda Swartz, Earl and Belinda Swartz, and Dixie and John Paladino, all of Lewisburg. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her older brother, Hugh Swartz, in 2015 and her sister, Mary Wise, in 2023.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Adamo Funeral Home, 16 Walnut Street, Mifflinburg. The memorial service will be held at 11.
