Blanche R. Becky Calder

July 28, 1928 — January 4, 2025

Blanche R. (Becky) Calder, 96, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at her residence.

Born on July 22, 1928, in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Martin Eisenhauer and Martha (Jordan) Eisenhauer. On September 2, 1972, she married R. Glenn Calder, who passed away on May 16, 1994.

She graduated from Mifflinburg High School class of 1946.

Becky worked as a nurse aide at Laurelton State School for 14 years and drove for the USTA for 10 years before retiring. She continued to provide care for family and friends in need.

She has been a Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren member since she was 5 years old... a 91 year member.

Becky enjoyed her flower beds, fish pond, garden, and taking care of home. She also loved to go out to eat with friends and picnics with family and her dog, Angel.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Bonnie L. Keister of Lewisburg, Wanda L. and George Zechman of Mifflinburg, six grandchildren, Barry W. Stahl, Carla Jean Stahl, Vickie Stahl, Corey Botts, Buffie Maurer, Carolyn Hart, 12 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren with one more due in July 2025.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul W. Eisenhauer and Andrew M. Eisenhauer; son-in-law, Carl Stahl; great-granddaughter, Aimee Auman; and great-grandson, Mason Stahl.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 10 to 11 AM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Eric Reamer officiating.

The interment will be in Ray's Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Becky‘s Hospice Nurse, Carlie, for helping during the especially tough times.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Becky’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren.
