Ava M. Boney, 85, of 123 Main Street, Hartleton entered into rest at 8:58 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Richfield Senior Living Facility.
She was born on January 20, 1930 in Snyder County, a daughter of the late Roland and Verna (Holdren) Bierly. On January 31, 1958, she married Warren F. Boney, who passed away on July 15, 2013.
She was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School Class of 1947.
Ava retired from Pennsylvania House Furniture in 1992.
She was most recently attending the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren. For many years she assisted with elections from Hartleton Boro.
Ava loved to travel, enjoyed her cats, spending time with family, and had a incredible motherly instinct.
Surviving are one son, David R. Hendricks and wife Nancy of Hartleton, one grandson, David W. Hendricks and wife Angela of Mifflinburg, two great grandchildren, Seirra Rehm, Ethan David Hendricks, two step grandchildren, Matthew Lau and wife Tina, Michelle Rodgers, four step great grandchildren, three step great great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Sylvester Bierly, Leroy Bierly, Walter Bierly, Roland Bierly, Jr., two sisters, Cordie Gust, Bertha K. Smith.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday and from 2 to 3 pm on Friday at the Dominick T. Adamo Funeral Home, 247 Chestnut Street, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 3, with the Rev. Eric Reamer, officiating.
Interment will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
