Austin Craig Miller

January 5, 1995 — May 4, 2015

Austin Craig Miller, 20, of 8722 Col John Kelly Road, Mifflinburg went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1:30 AM on Monday, May 04, 2015 in Kelly Township, Union County, due to injuries sustained from a automobile accident.

He was born on January 5, 1995 in Lewisburg, a son of John Merrill, Jr. and Tina Elaine (Martin) Miller of Mifflinburg.

Austin was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School Class of 2013, and was in his second year at Penn State University.

He worked as a server at Country Cupboard for three years.

Austin attended Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Mifflinburg.  He was a member of DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship Penn State University, and was avid about his testimony about God.

He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed attending car shows, and working on his 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1.  He was also a member of the Penn State Car club.

Austin’s interests included bowling and hunting.  He accomplished the ultimate goal of bowling a 300 game, and was a member of the Penn State bowling team.  Last hunting season he shot his biggest buck ever, a nice PA 10 point.

Family was very important to him, and most of all he enjoyed being an uncle to his 20 nieces and nephews.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ryan D. and Wanda Miller of Mifflinburg, John M. and Megan Miller of Selinsgrove,  four sisters and  four brothers-in-law, Monica J. and Tony L. Hauger of Lewisburg, Terra and Seth Parrish of Watsontown, Carla A. and Ryan Wert of Mifflinburg, Alysha L. and Michael Hammer of Williamsport,  nineteen nieces and nephews, Darin, Colin, Emilie , and Kristen Miller; Steven, Ethan, and Lauren Miller; Olivia, Levi, Erica, Aaron, Elaina, Tony  Jr, and Patrick Hauger; Trisha, Rebecca, and Vanessa Moyer, Chloe Wert,  and MJ Hammer, paternal grandmother, Alma R. Heimbach of Lewisburg, maternal grandmother Edna Hackenburg and her spouse Guy of Middleburg, maternal grandfather, Robert Martin, Sr and his spouse Mary,  of Mt Pleasant Mills.  Also surviving are numerous aunts and uncles and extended family.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, J. Merrill Miller, Sr. and a niece, Victoria Hauger.

There will be no public viewing.  Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 9:30 to 11 AM on Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 12 East Market St, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be held at 11, with the Rev. Donald L. Hewlett, pastor of Mifflinburg Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

Interment will be in the Mazeppa Cemetery.
